Hello all, new to the forum! I have a 2006 BMW Z4 with a very unsafe soft top. The plastic header that is attached to the soft top, actually bolted the the fabric, was sagging. I thought the bolts across the front edge that clicks in to the windshield frame cover had come loose and needed to be replaced but when I opened the top part way to fix it I saw the problem was much worse—the part had actually cracked almost the entire width of the plastic below the screw holes. I assume that part is replaceable on its own, doesn’t seem to come with new soft tops, but I can’t find anything that tells me what part to look for. Does anyone know what it’s called or how I can find it without driving it to a dealership and taking a chance that the top would fall on me?
